The Consorcio Energético Punta Cana – Macao (CEPM) received the “Proyecto Solucionista del año” award at the ES Conservation and Environment 2015 Awards, for CEPM’s thermal energy distributive system, “CEPM District Energy”.
The award, organized by the magazine “ES” from the newspaper, “HOY” and the Punta Cana Group, seek to honor companies and individuals that take initiative and develop projects that contribute to the protection of the environment.
District Energy is a system of transmission and distribution of thermal energy. This system utilizes the energy that is “lost” from plant operations, to generate hot water, steam and cold water used by the hotels.
